Holiday Fun

Ready to make some new holiday memories with the whole family? Our real estate agents and their own families are looking forward to these wonderful seasonal activities and events taking place around Dane County this December.

  • Gingerbread House Decorating - Clasen's European Bakery, 7610 Donna Dr., Middleton, WI 53562
    Learn the basics of one of Europe's more beloved holiday traditions at Gingerbread House Decorating. After a helpful demo, guests receive a pre-assembled gingerbread house to decorate as they choose, while bakery founder Ralph Clasen shares delightful stories. Refreshments will be served, and guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. The cost for one house is $80, which allows for up to three people, with a fee of $25 for each additional person. The class is scheduled for Thursday, 12/5, from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. 

  • Jolly Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair - Prairie View Middle School, 400 N. Thompson Rd., Sun Prairie, WI 53590
    For the ninth year, the Jolly Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair provides a convenient opportunity to shop for unique holiday gifts. Prairie View Middle School is hosting more than 100 amazing local vendors with products that fill up two gyms. While you're supporting community businesses, you'll also be contributing toward funds for OccuPaws, a non-profit organization that places guide dogs with visually impaired people at no charge. Mark your calendar for Sunday, 12/8, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Admission is free for all visitors.

  • A Madison Symphony Christmas - Overture Hall, 201 State St., Madison, WI 53703
    Over the years, A Madison Symphony Christmas has become one of the more eagerly anticipated holiday events in Dane County. The Madison Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will be joined by the Madison Youth Choirs, along with soloists Vanessa Becerra and Craig Irvin, for a stirring performance you'll remember long afterward. John DeMain and the Mt. Zion Gospel Choir, accompanied by the whole cast, take the stage for a rousing finish. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on 12/6-7 and 2:30 p.m. on 12/8. Tickets are $15-$102.

  • Holiday Market - Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Femrite Dr., Monona, WI 53716
    Shop 'til you drop for a good cause when Aldo Leopold Nature Center hosts their Holiday Market. Booths showcase dozens of local artisans using sustainable practices to create handcrafted jewelry, hand-dyed scarves, gourmet food items made from Wisconsin-sourced ingredients, and other products. Vendors include Sandy B Handwovens, offering clothing such as scarves, vests, and jackets, and Earth Delights, featuring stone- and gem-studded jewelry. The Ugly Apple Cafe will be open for food and beverage purchases. Hours are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday, 12/8, and admission is free.

  • Nerd Made: Madison - Wisconsin Masonic Center, 301 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, WI 53703
    Nerd Made: Madison aims to strengthen community connections by bringing residents together with local makers and crafters. Nerd Made: Madison, curated by a self-professed "group of nerdy makers," includes vendors with handmade goods along with entertaining extras such as cosplay, music, and face painting. Food and drinks will be on sale to keep energy levels high. Hours are 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, 12/14, and admission is free.
